A cleanse can be done for as many days as personally desired to achieve your goals. Some examples for cleansing might be: kick start weight-loss, rid yourself of sugar, alcohol, caffeine cravings, discover food intolerance's, or physical - mental - spiritual cleansing. Cleanses distance you from food, alcohol, and caffeine which cause inflammation in the body and create many of the illnesses we face today; that distance can be the catalyst to a healthier lifestyle overall.

Cleanses can be done as a fast (juice only), or incorporated into a raw diet (fruits and vegetables). Either approach is equally beneficial as they both remove animal products, gluten, chemicals, hormones, processed sugars, and food coloring from the diet. You are also flooded with vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that otherwise are not generally consumed on a daily basis. A cleanse can leave you feeling less bloated, with higher energy, and glowing youthful skin. 

Weather you choose to fast or mix juice with a raw diet the most important component is having the right mind set. Unless you are going to create a personal retreat it will be difficult to remove the visual of others eating or seeing restaurants that offer unhealthy cuisine. This is why it is so important to have the right mindset when going into any type of cleanse. It is an opportunity for you to renew your inner and outer self. If possible, do your cleanse during a time where you can focus on you - do things you enjoy that will create a calming experience. If you go into the cleanse angry that you can't eat (or eat the foods you crave), it may not be the right time to do it. Cleansing is a wonderful experience but only if you have the right mindset

Should I Fast or Add Juice to a raw Diet for the Best Results? 
This is a personal choice and depends on what makes you feel the most comfortable and your personal goals. If the idea of not eating for a certain number of days keeps you from doing a cleanse then start with a cleanse that incorporates a raw diet. Start at the level that gets you excited to do it! What Does a One-Day Fast Look Like? 
A one-day cleanse (fast) comes with five, 12 oz. juices, and one, 12 oz. almond milk - for a total of six, 12 oz. jars. You drink your first juice upon awaking (you don't have to get up at any special time). Then roughly every two hours you would drink your next juice. The bottles are numbered from 1-6 so you always know which juice to drink next. It is also important to drink water during a cleanse so thirty minutes after you consume your juice drink 8-12 oz. of filtered water. If you miss the sensation of chewing pour your juice over crushed ice. 

The juices in a one day cleanse are:
(1) Armor - Ginger, Mint, Lemon, Agave, Filtered Water
(2) Detoxifier - Kale, Cucumber, Celery, Apple, Lemon, Ginger
(3) Glow - Carrot, Apple, Lemon, Ginger
(4) Detoxifier - Kale, Cucumber, Celery, Apple, Lemon, Ginger
(5) Heart Beet - Beet, Celery, Apple, Lemon
(6) Almond Milk - Almonds, Filtered Water

What Does a One-Day Cleanse with a Raw Diet Look Like?
Incorporating juice with a raw diet is great for anyone that is new to juicing, uncomfortable with the idea of fasting, or someone who has a very active lifestyle that requires more than 1200 calories a day (a one day cleanse has approximately 1200 calories).

Example of a One Day Cleanse with a Raw Diet:
7AM         Armor
7:30         8-12 oz. Purified Water
8AM         Fruit of your choice (apple, banana, berries, etc..)
9AM         Detoxifier
9:30         8-12 oz. Purified Water
10AM       1 Cup Veggies (carrot, celery, broccoli etc..)
11AM       Glow
11:30       8-12 oz. Purified Water
12PM       3 Cups Raw Salad (Greens and veggies only, dressing squeezed lemon), Half cup raw/unsalted almonds, pecans, or walnuts
1PM         Detoxifier
1:30         8-12 oz. Purified Water
2PM         1 Cup fruit or veggies of your choice
3PM         Heart Beet
3:30         8-12 oz. Purified Water
4PM         1 Cup veggies (carrot, celery, broccoli etc..)
5PM         8-12 oz. Purified Water
6PM         2 Cups Steamed Veggies or 2 Cups Raw Veggies
6:30        Almond Milk (can add 1 tsp. cinnamon if desired - just add to almond milk, shake until mixed)

When Is the Best Time To Cleanse?
It is best to cleanse when your schedule is free of activities that might make it difficult to commit to the process, and you are mentally aligned with your goals for doing the cleanse in the first place. This is probably the trickiest part of any cleanse, because when aren't we busy and tempted by indulgence? You don't have to have a free calendar in order to do a cleanse, that's probably impossible for most. But do try to avoid plans that will make it difficult to stick to your goals; weddings, birthday parties, holidays, etc.. may be times to avoid starting a cleanse. However, it is never a bad time to flood your body with nutrients and remove foods that create inflammation in the body.
